1/ VIACCESS Decoder asks each time when needed to be activated for a code. Decoder accepts the card and confirms it is OK, but while decoding reports "no accept". Please help me solve this problem.

The operator should enter into the menu "chip card" or " conditional access". He will be asked for the "authorisation" or "maturity rating". The operator enters "ok", then he should dial the code 8080 and the new morality level (it has to be set to the maximal), alternatively he puts the morality level to the maximal and then dials the code 8080.

2 / I receive VIACCESS XXL but with some breaks: why ?

To receive XXL, you have to check that the morality level is set to the maximal in order to broadcast all the programmes without any break. The cards have to be adjusted in the decoder via the decoder's menu once and for all.

Be careful, some professional decoders do not have a proper menu enabling such operation. In such case, you have to use a consumer decoder to settle the cards, and then use a professional one. The cards should then work without any further problem. If a code is asked, please dial 8080.

3/ What are the compatible decoders for VIACCESS smartcards ?

You can also use professional decoders: Triax, Tonna, Technisat, Xcom Pace, Iqusi all equiped with an Aston Module. The software package within the CAM module Aston Dual or Aston Pro has to be upgraded to the version 1.03.

4/ Is it possible to switch on automatically, and not manually on XXL and ABMoteurs each evening ?

You can switch it automatically with a consumer decoder, but not a professional decoder. On consumer decoder you have a timer that can change the channel at the time you wish.

5/ What shall I do in order to properly receive authorisation rights for MEDIAGUARD smartcards ?

You have to insert the MEDIAGUARD smartcards into the decoder and let it switch on the requested "MEDIAGUARD" channel (MCM Pop, TiJi, Canal J, Filles TV, Cuisine TV) the whole day long, until the Technical departement will reactivate the smartcard.
